Digital Divide Blog
The Digital Divide is about people who have access to the internet, and those who do not. In my community, in Miami FL, technology and computers are everywhere, but some children don't have the internet, this can be very bad for their education, and not only that, but for their future as well. They might find what they have interests in on the computer, their career path, a future, and maybe other things. A way to bridge the digital divide in my community is to have everybody buy school wi-fi, which has a reduced cost and can give everyone wi-fi, but only works for students who haven't had access to the internet in 6 months. If a family is not wealthy enough to afford this, then it should be offered for free via a satellite, or their children should be given free tablets from the Florida governors. It's only fair that everybody gets to have Wi-Fi and access to the internet.
